James Fitzgibbon (1780-1863) Hero of Beaver Dams in the War of 1812
Deputy Provincial Grand Master 1822-1823

Alexander Roberts Dunn (1833-1868) Won Canada's first Victoria Cross in the Charge of the Light Brigade at Balaclava. Initiated in Ionic Lodge #18 Toronto 1856.

Major Gen. Sir John E. W. Inglis (1814-1862) Hero of Lucknow in the Indian Mutiny 1857.
Initiated in St. Andrews Lodge Toronto 1841.

Gen. Sir William D. Otter (1843-1929) Commanded the column that relieved Battleford in the North West Rebellion of 1885, and was later Chief of the Canadian General Staff.
Served as Master of Ionic #25 Toronto 1874.

Lt. Gen. Sir Samuel Hughes (1853-1921) Minister of Militia and Defence for Canada, 1911-1916.
Initiated in St. Andrews # 16 Toronto 1883.

Lt. Gen. Sir Richard E. W. Turner (1871-1961) Led the Canadian troops at Ypres during the first gas attack in 1915.

Major Gen. Sir David Watson (1871-1922) Commander of the fourth Canadian division 1916-1918.
